Comments

1. The content of this inscription is not clear. It is destroyed, thus we can only read several characters. The fouth sign can be read as b2, z or m. The segment b2 r2 t2 b2/z/m A y2 l2 can be read in two different ways: 1) b(i)r t(ä)bä y(ä)l(ä) ‘One camel running’ –– this is a possible, although rather unlikely interpretation of the beginning of the inscription ; 2) (ä)v(i)rt(i)m – a y(e)lv(i)l(i)[g… ‘I surrounded, magic …’. The first two characters can be read as b(i)rt(ä)m ‘copletely’, or as b(e)rt(i)m ‘I gave’. The inscription cannot be read further.

2. The inscription is written in the Altai variant of the runic writing: the form of the b2 is characteristic also for the Yenisei variant, as well as the use of the character А as punctuation.
