Bičiktu-Boom IX (A-81)
Description
This is an inscription at the western end of the village, 50m from the last house. It is situated at the footstep of the montain, on a rock surface facing South. The rock surface is 135х50х25cm. The inscription is very damaged, the characters are not seen well. The inscription is a vertical one, it consists of 7–8 characters, their height is 1,5–2,2cm, the length of the line is 9cm. It was discovered in 2003 by the student of teh GASU A.T. Tarbanaev during an expedition organized by L.N. Tybykovoj in the framework of the State Programme of Preservation and Development of the Altai Language.

Runic transliteration:
Transliteration: s2(?) ŋ2/l2 t2 A y1/m(?) g1/t2(?) s2 I Transcription: … (ä)lt a! (a)y(a)g (ä)ši! Translation: … Lead (us), the friend of Ajag! Comments 1. We suppose that the first sign was only a
probe stroke as it is not as high as the rest. 2. The proper name (a)y(a)g has not
yet been encountered in runic inscriptions, but the common noun (a)y(a)g
means ‘respect’.
