Kalbak-Tash XXV (А-60)

Description

This is a short inscription consisting of 5 signs; It is curved; the length of the line is 6,4cm, the height of the characters is 2,7-3,7cm. It was discovered in 1994 by I.L. Kyzlasov. In spite of very thin characters and later damages by knockouts, all the runes are clear and can be read reliably.

Comments

1. In this case we can see again that one graffiti can be written above another. The signs are fairly seen, we see also lines of a different graffiti beside them.

2. The first vowel i in the word ičrä is absent; this makes this reading problematic. Normally, the i is not omitted in the word beginning. On the other hand, ičrä is here used as a postposition. It could get cliticized to the previous word, and the whole complex could be treated as one word.
