Transliteration: b²ü(ö)t²:r²i(ï)
Transcription: büt (e)ri
Translation: Believe and purify yourself (i.e. make God forgive for your sins)!
(Kyzlasov 2002: 66)
Comments
1. (a)rï is possible here, but the text has he front consonant r2. It is possible that r2 is determined by I here.
2. Büt in the meaning ‘believe’ is documented in later texts, in QB and DLT (see. DTS and Clauson). The meaning of this word at the time of the creation of the inscription could be ‘become completed, perfect’.
