Reading of I. L. Kyzlasov

Transliteration:

s²(š²)kä(b²)1¹i(ï)s²(š²)k1¹r¹ü(ö)s²(š²)b²ü(ö)1²(ŋ)m

(Kyzlasov 2002: 64)

Reading of L.N.Tybykova, I.A. Nevskaya and M. Erdal

Runic transliteration:

Transliteration:

s2 k2 b2/l2/y1 l1 I s2 k2 r1 l1 Ü s2 b2 Ü l2 m

Comments

1. Ü l2 m in the end of this fragment could be öl(ü)m ‘death’; this reading is more likely than böl(ü)m ‘part’.

2. s2 k2 is repeated twice; earlier we propose a reading for similar fragments as sök- ‘pierce, tear apart’, but here we consider such reading unlikely.
